Sweden is nearing one of the most interesting weekends throughout the year, if you like music contests...


This weekend are the finals of the Melodiefestivalen, a contest that runs every year, for several weeks all over the country. The winner joins in for the Eurovision Song contest in May in Helsinki.
Sweden is one of those countries, other than Belgium, that always ends somewhere in the top 10 ranking. For sure because they have nice neighbouring countries that support eachother, but moreover because they always had good songs, and I²m not only tlaking about ABBA and Carola.

In the past one had to travel to Sweden and buy the CD to listen to all songs, now there is internet. SVT, the organisor, dedicated a huge part of its website to the contest. You can listen now to the final 10 songs, and this Saterday evening, you can see the life broadcast also via the site. What else than this one should do on a Saterdaynight? Link to SVT: www.svt.se

Oh yes, my favorite is Måns zelmerlöf. If he is going to Helsinki, I go next year to Stockholm for seeing the Eurovision myself, as Sweden will make a good chance to win! As always...
