Real old winters
Since many, many years now, Belgium hasn't been experiencing any real old fashioned winter weather. Since the late 80's winters became mild, rainy and windy. Real snowy weather, with the snow staying for a few days or weeks, and freezing temperatures, I only remember as a child. Strange enough, when I was still a child my parents and grand parents, always talked about the cold winters when they were young. If I were to have any child, that child would probably see snow in Belgium very rarely. It's really unbelievable that this is happening, especially because I like snow so much. The wintertime is for me the best season of the year. I seem to be an exception, being a person that likes the dark and cold days of the year. But that time of the year is really special when it snows. I'm hoping, but that hope is decreasing year by year, that I'm wrong in my believes, that the climate is changing. And due to those changes, snow is disappearing. For most people in the world, for whom money is the most important element in their life, snow can't be of any importance. Well, I believe that snow is an example of how an extremely beautiful but fragile part of nature is trying to say us something. This world is changing, and not for the best...
Think about it and do your share.
