Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...
Sweden is as most of you know not only a fantastic summer holiday country, but also a country which has great winters. Not like in Belgium where you need to rush outside when you see some snowflakes falling out of sky, to be sure you don't miss them. No Sweden has in general very cold winters, with high chances of important amounts of snow.
Now recently conditions have not been very wintry. Too early maybe, but the Swedish weather was more looking like late summer than like automn. Only in the very north winter showed its face, with some snow and freezing temperatures. The main cities like Uppsala and Stockholm didn't even have their nightfrosts.
Now, after having looked into detail the weathermaps for the upcoming week, this is going to change dramatically. Next tuesday and wednesday are going to bring deep winter conditions to parts as south as central Sweden. Very cold and strong easterly winds will bring a lot of snow to the central parets of Sweden, and even the Swedes will be a bit surprised, as they also have been used to too high temperatures recently.
Time to book my tickets again, as after having been in Belgium for more than 3 months again it getting too hard...
