After first snow, stormy weather?

After the first snow and very cold temperatures, southern en central parts will have a little relief the next days. Snow fell as south as Malmö on Tuesday en Wednesday, and temperatures were negative all over Sweden. On Wedesday traffic in Stockholm came to a complete standstill while snow fell during the peak time. People had to spend their night in the car, as they were blocked due to slippery roads. What a start of winter! Belgians can only dream of that...
Next week, after milder weather comes through, winds will pick up aswell. There are high chances of storm force winds, especially in central and southern parts. Several depressions will pass right over Sweden, bringing high winds to the south of their paths. Once they have passed, a new outbreak of colder weather would be possible. Not as far south as this week, but snow in Stockholm would be very likely again by next Wednesday.

The picture on this link (http://www.wetter-zentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1261.png) shows the airpressure for Europe for next Wednesday. You can see a depressioncentre passing right over Sweden, with strong winds to the south of it.

Hey Jeroen,
