A very soft attitude

That nature in Flanders is just playing a very minor role, you should know by now, but that things could get worse you maybe didn`t consider. Now came out last week, the feedback from the European Commission, that the actionplan made by our Minister Peeters, is lacking on all 3 elements. It is very sad to see that Flanders is not investing money in reducing its CO2 emissions, but buying in rights from other countries. Now this is exact what I do not like in this country. ISO looking at solving problems on the longterm, our Ministers are weak and soft, and just try to solve a "minor problem" by bying the rights from another country. Why oh why can`t we just for once try to be at least as good as the Nordics, but reducing our emissions? Why is there not a Minister who has the strength to say what we are doing wrong? Why does it always take so much time to try to understand that we are going the wrong way? I don`t know, but I can not, and will never vote for any party that is acting like this.
It is really sad that now, when everyones focus is on ecology, now that autumn was the warmest in more than 300 years in Belgium, now that icecaps are melting at a speed as never seen before, that now this Minister is not able to make something more out of it. It just can not be that these people are called Ministers, as they should make these difficult decissions and explain to us Belgians that this is the way to go.
Unfortunately he will need another 5 to 10 years, another hot autmn or 5, another 1.000.000 sq kms of melted ice before he might consider that this is needed for all of us. A more sad story you can`t tell for the moment. I`m disappointed, and trying to convince people not to vote for these partys in a few months.
