Last weekend I travelled for a second time to Stavanger in Norway. Sam had already travelled a few days before to assist the costumedesigner of Transparant. So the only thing I had to do was go there and enjoy the program...
On the Saterday we took the boat, to go and have a look at the Lysefjorden. For me the first time to see a fjord, so I enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately it wasn't cold enough to have snow, but you could see that temperatures were cold enough to have snow at an altitute of around 600 meters. The boatrtrip took about 3.5 hours and was really nice. You first get to see a bit of the harbour where you have huge shipyards serving the oilindustry, but also nice tiny little islands where rich people live and enjoy the fantastic seaviews. After a while you enter the fjord, that rapidly turns into a rough mountanious landscape. At around the middle of the fjord you get to sea the Prekestolen. This is a rock at an altitude of around 600 meters. If you have a car you drive all the way from Stavanger to the back of the mountain and do a walk of around 2 hours to reach hanging cliff. Maybe something for summertime?
After a quick stop, the boat continues to a waterfall. The boat gets so close to that so that you get wet. One of the crewmembers than takes a bucket and takes water from it, and serves everyone a glass of the clean water. Good marketing I'd say...
Later on I'll write here about the trip we did on Sunday, which was into the mountains.
